The Previous Weekend July 8 & 9th, 1995 not realizing I saw the last 2 Grateful Dead shows at Soldier Field. Then on July 15th I went to the Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin featuring the Allman Brothers and Bruce Hornsby. Then July 16th came the big night in music for me ever when I saw my first Gov’t Mule show. I walked out of this show realizing that Warrens and Woody’s new trio Gov’t Mule was going to be the closest version of seeing Live Cream ever. Approximately three weeks after this show was August 9th, 1995 when Jerry Garcia died. (When we got the word, saddest sound that I ever heard), Warren would be at Jones Beach with the Allman Brothers inspiring him to write Patchwork Quilt from Jerry Garcia’s death. Shortly after this Warren would become my next Guitar Hero. I don’t recall seeing anybody else recording this show. Enjoy, Mike Mahoney, St. Paul, MN
